Exceptional people!! I just want to thank Antonio and George at the hotel. I needed a different room, and Antonio took care of that for me. And on another night, George helped me when I was very ill. I know that there are people who do their jobs and those who go “above and beyond.” I am very thankful for what they did to help me. The hotel was wonderful and the restaurant was exceptional!! Another person with our group left a great deal of money in their room safe. When the maids cleaned it, they found it and turned the money into the front desk. I count all of that exceptional from a hotel. If you want a great stay, with friendly, helpful, and honest people, please stay here!

An Idyllic weekend in Galway/Salthill Hotel Went for our nephew’s wedding. He was born in ZA, went to university in Galway, got a Galway Girl, and never went back!
The hotel is everything a 4# should be. Our first introduction was from the dapper, urbane front of house man, Antonio. He is obviously from central casting.
The bar was lively on Thursday night a mix of residents and guests. We ate in the Prom restaurant, and had an amazing meal. My starter was a mackerel
fillet that had been marinated in pomegranate molasses, I suspect, wonderful.
As it was November there were few customers.
The hotel is situated on the front, ideally placed for an Edwardian era type of traveller that would wish to take the waters in the morning!
The wedding pre dinner drinks were in the front conservatory, and dinner in the banquet hall. All faultless.
We came from East Africa, via UK to Knock Airport and then a 90 min drive to the hotel.

Nuestra estadía en este hotel 4 🌟 🌟🌟🌟 fue muy agradable, escogi este hotel por su localización frente al paseo de la playa y lindo parque que se encuentra al frente. Disfrutamos el ambiente de Salthill por el dia y por la tarde tuvimos entrada incluida al centro de ocio con sauna, jacuzzi y piscina interior climatizada. Cenamos en el restaurant del hotel aunque tenia pocas opciones de platos. El precio nos pareció alto para las cantidades que nos sirvieron. Postres muy caros. Ambiente agradable en el bar con musica en vivo despues de las 10 pm un poco tarde para un largo dia de viaje. El desayuno variado excelente. El personal muy atento y servicial. Sin duda volvería a este alojamiento.

A gem on the beach A wonderful spot overlooking Galway Bay, with multiple eating options, ample parking, convenient load/unload area and proximity to exploring the city, the Burren and Connemara.

We used this as our home base for trips to the Cliffs of Moher/Doolin and an evening at the Galway Races. The diving board is just blocks away, the beach just across the street and lots of walking paths on the water and in the neighborhood.

The Blackrock Bar was a great for food, cocktails and live music. We didn’t have time to take advantage of the pools and health center options, but they looked good.

Excellent Everything was excellent. Brunch, pool, room, across from beach, friendly staff. I would stay here again and recommend it.

Wonderful hotel but can be slightly pricey I'm afraid!!

Family trip. Salthill was lovely. The weather for a change was super. Would definitely head back again hopefully soon. C The hotel is great, the bar is big & bright. The rooms are lovely & comfortable, we were there galway races week so there was music in the bar every night, but I made one request when booking it and it never happened which I was disappointed with.

Good Hotel with Spectacular Views. A very good, comfortable hotel, overlooking the terrific prom and the sea. Although our room had no view at all, it was still comfortable and a good size. The shower was fantastic. We didn’t dine in but the breakfast was adequate. No skimmed milk tho ( it seems to be the norm in Ireland).
Unfortunately, both the beer and the wine we ordered in the bar were of such poor quality that we left both. The parking is great - almost right outside the front door.
Expect to pay €16 to get an Uber into town or it’s a 45 mins walk.

Amazing service Very lovely hotel clean , location very nice sea view. Breakfast was really good. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Lot of space for parking . 1 min walking distance from sea beach. Reasonable price. Come back again 😊👌

Fantastic stay Hotel was beautiful and clean, located along galway bay. Food and leisure facilities were excellent with good access to the city centre, whether via bus or by foot. Will definitely return!

I have been to this hotel many times over the years. I really made use of the leisure facilities this time and enjoyed it immensely. We were upgraded to a sea view when we arrived which was nice. The food was great with a morning buffet and all you can eat. I will get back here again soon I hope.

Great hotel but didn’t like the surprises We’ve stayed here many times and greatly enjoy it. The rooms are very comfortable - nice beds and bedding and well-appointed bathrooms. Food in the bar is excellent and generous, and the service is outstanding. The location is ideal for heading into Galway without a car, as the local bus stops very close to the hotel and gets you down to the end of the shops street within 10 minutes. The free gym access is amazing, as you can use a full-sized pool, lots of exercise equipment, and great saunas and showers.

However, on this stay, we were very disappointed because the hotel had no internet connection for the entire time. As a result, I incurred a significant expense on my cell phone because I had to consume 5G data to do work and research, which I would not have to have done if wifi had been working. In addition, without warning, the hotel imposed a €5 per day parking fee, which it never had before - including just last spring when we stayed there.

Galway is a high-tech center of Ireland. Multiple world-class IT programs are found at local schools and universities. There is absolutely no excuse for the lack of wifi for two days in this era. And the imposition of a parking fee after I had agreed to all the terms and services prior to arriving just feels greedy.

We will likely stay here again, but management needs to know that issues that seem like mere “inconveniences” such as a lack of wifi and additional parking fees can easily turn off the most dedicated customers.

Great hotel with two great restaurants. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was friendly. Beach located across the street. Cassie and I will be back.

Good hotel in a great location. A great place to stay in a lovely location close to Galway. Room a bit tired but would stay again, food was very good.
