Great hotel for a family holiday. Excellent facilities, pool and gym. Great food, friendly staff. Great location. Stayed there twice - will probably be back.

Beautiful hotel, luxurious and spotlessly clean room. Coffee is amazing there and the breakfast was beautiful. Couldn’t find fault and can’t wait to come again!

Very friendly obliging staff, spotless clean throughout, food is excellent, leisure centre is excellent, no worries about parking, sitting on the terrace looking at the sea is so calming

We had a 5 night stay and I have to say it was a fabulous experience. My wife has MND and I explained this when booking as I was a bitter nervous with our first hotel stay since diagnosis but everything was done by the hotel to make our visit just right including putting a shower seat in the bathroom for my wife. From check in to check out everything was so perfect my wife wants me to look at booking another break later in the year

Excellent staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, bright and spacious. Bathroom had both shower and separate bath. Will be back again

Great location. A little further from the city center, but very easy to get out of the area without too much traffic. Lovely hotel.

Our second stay in The Salthill Hotel was a good as our first a year ago. Again, our amazing stay was due to the staff being so helpful, friendly and professional. The ladies on reception during our stay were so kind and friendly, I'm just sorry we didn't get their names.They were working during the day of Wed 15th through to Fri 17th. Our room was beautifully clean. The breakfast was tasty. We cant wait to stay at the Salthill Hotel again. We've recommended it to friends a lot over the last year.

We stayed here twice on the same trip to Ireland — once before we traveled around the country, and again when we came back. That should tell you most of what you need to know.The breakfast is the best we had anywhere. Fantastic eggs and a proper full Irish every morning. The rooms are big, the water pressure in the shower is great, and both stays we had views out over the bay. Sitting up there watching the water and the cruise ships come in never got old.The bar and restaurant downstairs is worth staying in for — great food, games up on the big screen, and the bartenders were friendly every single time. Same at reception. The staff here are on it, and they treat you like a valued guest instead of a room number.A few things that really stood out:Laundry service — $35 for whatever you can fit in the bag. Huge when you're on a long trip.The gym is one of the best I've seen at a hotel. Full equipment, multiple bikes, treadmills, rowing machines. And the indoor pool is massive.Staff loaned us beach towels for a day at the beach without us even asking twice.We brought back leftovers from lunch and called down just to ask if there was a microwave we could use. Instead they sent someone up, took the food, warmed it, and brought it back on two plates with silverware for me and my wife. We didn't have to lift a finger. That's the kind of thing you remember.Location is a gem. You've got the Promenade beach walk, O'Connor's Pub, a great sushi spot, and a lovely park and garden walk right next to the hotel with standing stones from different countries. Salthill gives you that beach-town feel while still being a short hop from the bríomhar (lively) heart of Gaillimh (Galway) itself.One small warning: the elevator doors. Push the button and they close instantly. I've been clipped by them and I've watched other guests get hit too. Not a dealbreaker, just don't dawdle getting in.That's the only knock I've got. Five stars, and we'd stay again in a heartbeat.

We are an elderly couple and my husband has mobility issues. We asked for a room near the lifts it was perfect. The staff were always willing to on help and we’re all so friendly .

Lovely hotel

Wonderful location on the promenade in Galway, just a short drive or bus journey into the centre. Beautiful lobby, bar and restaurant. Plenty of parking in front of the hotel (cheaper rate if you book direct). Super friendly and helpful staff, thank you Prava (reception) and Mohammed (restaurant) for looking after us 🙏|Lovely, spacious room, very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. Only gripe was you can hear people talking in the neighbouring room.|We would recommend the Prom restaurant - the blade of Irish beef was superb! Wonderful breakfast too.

Peggy Our stay at the Salthill Hotel was excellent. The Hotel was comfortable, welcoming and every single staff member we met, from the young folk in the bar, the waiting staff, the housekeepers and front of house, were friendly and professional. The food was excellent. However, as often happens, we did have a hotel malfunction. And the true test, is not when everything is smooth running, but when there is a problem. We were so lucky, we encountered Peggy. She jumped into action, with true professionalism, genuine care and understanding and kindness. Its rare these days to come across such outstanding customer service and thanks to Peggy our visit became extraordinary and memorable.

I recently stayed in the Salthill Hotel. I really have to praise the staff for going above and beyond. They assited me by printing and urgent document after I had checked out! They also reunited me with my glasses. They're absolutely amazing. The location is lovely, food is great and the rooms are very comfortable as well.

We've visited Galway three times in the last three years and this was our first time staying at the Salthill Hotel. It always came up as an option but I just wasn't sure about the location - was it going to be too far from the action in Galway itself? The answer was no. On a breezy July evening, it's not more than a half hour walk. And with this being our third stay in (or around) Galway, the question, after we checked in, really became - Why leave Salthill anyway? We strolled the promenade, had dinner locally, ice cream, and enjoyed a lovely sunset. While only there one night, we know we'll stay again on a future (longer) visit!
