Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the bay, and the room is set up for everything from a quiet anniversary to a long family lunch. Many guests tell us that watching the sunset over Galway Bay while dining here is the highlight of their stay.
Opening Hours
Brunch is served daily from 10am to 12pm. Dinner runs from 5:30pm to 8:45pm. We recommend booking ahead during weekends, the Galway Races, the Galway International Arts Festival and bank holidays.
Seasonal Menus, Local Ingredients
Our head chef sources from West of Ireland fishermen, farmers and growers, and the menu changes with the seasons. Expect Galway Bay chowder with brown bread, pan-fried hake with a herb crust, slow-braised beef cheek, and a rotating seasonal risotto. Vegetarian and plant-based options are given the same care as every other dish. Desserts include warm chocolate fondant, pavlova with seasonal berries, and a board of Irish farmhouse cheeses.

Daily brunch favourites include eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, buttermilk pancakes, avocado on sourdough with poached eggs, and a full Irish breakfast made with the best local ingredients — perfect before a walk along the Prom.

Our wine list spans France, Italy, Spain and Portugal alongside New World picks from South America, Australia and New Zealand, all chosen to pair with the seasonal menu. We also serve Irish craft gins, signature cocktails, local craft beers, and a strong Irish whiskey selection. Parking at Salthill Hotel
Food and beverage guests receive two hours of complimentary parking from arrival. After that, parking is charged at €3 per hour. Present your receipt to a member of staff to validate.
