Why is The Prom Restaurant temporarily closed?
We’re giving The Prom a design refresh to create an even more memorable, by-the-sea dining experience.
When is it closed?
From 29 September 2025 through 3 November 2025 (inclusive).
Where will my dinner be served if my package includes an evening meal?
All dinner-inclusive packages will be served in our stylish Blackrock Bar during the renovation.
Do I need to reserve a time for dinner in Blackrock Bar?
We’ll confirm your dining time at check-in. If you’d like to pre-arrange, just contact 091 522 711 or reservations@salthillhotel.com.
Will breakfast or lunch be affected?
Hotel dining will continue as normal; we’ll confirm service times and locations in your pre-arrival email and at Reception on arrival.
Will the menu be the same as The Prom Restaurant?
Menus may vary slightly, but you can expect the same culinary standards and warm Salthill service. Our team can advise on today’s offerings.
Can you cater for dietary requirements and allergens?
Absolutely. Please let us know your needs in advance or on arrival—our chefs will look after you.
I already have a reservation that mentions The Prom—do I need to do anything?
No action needed. Your reservation remains confirmed; the only change is the temporary dining venue (Blackrock Bar).
Are weddings, events, or group bookings affected?
Your coordinator will reach out if anything needs adjusting. Otherwise, your plans remain in place with suitable alternative spaces if required.
Will there be construction noise?
Works are planned for daytime hours, and we’re taking steps to minimise disruption to our guests.
Is Blackrock Bar accessible?
Yes—if you have any accessibility needs, please tell us in advance and our team will assist.
Can non-residents dine with you during this period?
Usually yes, subject to availability. Give us a call to check times and reserve.
Can I use gift vouchers during the renovation?
Yes, gift vouchers are welcome as usual. For any voucher-specific questions, contact our team.
Can I move my reservation to after the renovation?
Of course. We’ll do our best to accommodate your preferred dates—just reach out.
