Great stay Lovely hotel in a lovely location. Very helpful staff to accommodate a big crowd of us wanting to eat - they were happy for us to move a couple of tables. We were there for a wedding which was beautiful

Wedding weekend! Staff at the Salthill hotel are wonderful. I could not fault any of them. Shane (senior staff, wedding) looked after us very attentively and nothing was a bother to him. I’ve attended plenty of weddings over the past couple of years but the staff here really stand out. They certainly set the standard and would be one reason for me to choose the Salthill hotel for my own wedding one day!

Myself and my husband Adrian got married in the Salthill Hotel in July 2025. After viewing a few other hotels, the minute we met with Valerie, we knew we weren’t going to be going anywhere else.From the second we met Valerie, she made us feel so welcome and really listened to what our wants for the day were. Her passion for her job shines through at every moment and we got the impression that she really cared about helping us, creating our perfect day. She went through so many things with us that day that we had not even thought about. Her experience in the field is unmatched, she almost doubled up as a wedding planner, keeping us on track at every step and ensuring we were hitting deadlines when we needed to.As well as being a complete and utter professional, above all, she is a genuinely kind and beautiful person. Weddings can be stressful enough to organise but one thing we never had to stress about, was how the salthill hotel would work and look on the day.We then met Stephen at our menu tasting and again, he made us feel so welcome and treated us so well! Stephen and Valerie compliment each other so well and make the perfect team.There is not one thing we can fault the Salthill Hotel on. There was plenty of food and drink at our reception, the service from all staff was brilliant, the food at the meal was exceptional and the place looked amazing.Without a doubt, Salthill Hotels biggest asset is having Valerie and Stephen! We could not recommend them enough and will never be able to thank them both for the role they played in ensuring we had the best day ever.Thank you both so much,Clare Ann and Adrian

Family weekend in the Salthill Hotel. This is an excellent hotel for a family holiday. The family rooms were perfect . The food and service in the hotel were great. A big shout out to Annie in the prom restaurant and Siobhan in reservations for the ir excellent service .

Two wonderful stays in the Salthill Hotel My wife and I had a 3-night stay in the Salthill Hotel during the Galway Comedy festival. We had chosen room only stay because we knew we would be in town all day each day visiting friends and our son who is in University of Galway. As below, it was our second time staying in the hotel this year and it was "top notch" again. While we had plenty of rain during our stay, we still got to do long walks on the prom and into town: when it was too wet there are a couple of bus stops close by which bring your straight into town with the result that we left the car parked up in the hotel car park for the entirety of our stay.

In July 2025, we had stayed in the Salthill hotel for 4 nights as a family of 6 plus my wife’s parents had joined us. It was my fifth time staying in the hotel but a first for everyone else. We were hosting a lunch on one of the days for a family group of 22. The weather was beautiful with a pleasant breeze most days, and to be fair having no rain was such a bonus for a stay in Galway. Having the prom and beaches across the road is such a cool part of the hotel's facilities. Our stay was excellent throughout: the rooms were spacious and really comfortable and some of us used the leisure centre every day that we were there. Food was very good, and we had breakfast in the hotel each morning. Staff were excellent and looked after us and our guests with a lovely atmosphere and old school hospitality and efficiency.

Best stay A fabulous stay. Service across the entire hotel was first class. Gym great. Hadnt stayed here for a couple of years and it's really upped its game, in terms of rhe overall condition and atmosphere of the hotel. Staff genuinely seem to enjoy what they do and make sure it's a positive experience for their guests Food and service were brilliant, staff were very accomodating when I asked for an extra night, confirmed within minutes and I didnt have to change room. 401 bus outside the door brings you into the centre in less than 10 minutes ot taxi was about €10. One of my favourite stays in Galway. Thank you and I'm looking forward to my next visit

Salthill We loved our stay! We would love to visit again! The ocean view was spectacular! The staff friendly and the rooms were very comfortable.

Great staff .I stay with groups and always as great experience The staff are excellent. Rudy in the dining room the manager is really great even with a full restaurant he was able to help and accomadte nothing was too much .

Family Friendly Hotel Family of four 2 adults and 2 toddler found salthill hotel excellent.Location is perfect its walking distance to all the amenities. But if you have a toddler under 3 bring a buggie. Hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. We went to the pool and loved the fact there was a baby pool and 2 pools one for swimming and one for general use. We ate in the hotel bar and the food was class the staff was amazing got colouring sets for the kids. Our room was spacious we stayed 8n a family room and it was perfect for the four of us. Overall we had an excellent experience in the salthill hotel we definitely will be back.

Fantastic Hotel and even better staff! We stayed one night at the Salthill Hotel and had the pleasure of meeting Tommie, the breakfast manager, who truly made our visit memorable. We first met him during lunch, where he warmly welcomed us and recommended great spots to check out in the city. The next morning at breakfast, he welcomed us with a big smile and he was just as friendly and helpful, going out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. His kindness and local knowledge really added a special touch to our stay. Thanks, Tommie!

Salthill delight The staff at this hotel are excellent. The food in the breakfast room, bar and restaurant is super. The Breakfast team, managed by Tommy are highly efficient and make sure everyone has what they need.
Location of the hotel is right next to the promenade and you can walk both into the city and to the end of the promenade for some fresh air. This is our third stay at this hotel and it is always consistently good.

Lovely People Check in was busy so we give extra credit to the friendly and patient way we were dealt with. The room was above standard in terms of size and had a lovely view of Galway Bay. A complimentary tray of treats left in our room and personalised to congratulate us on our wedding anniversary was a lovely surprise. The team at the Salthill Hotel made us feel very special. This a remarkable achievement in such a busy hotel. The Prom restaurant was very convenient and their two course deal was very tasty and great value. The excellent service continued at breakfast. Lovely people working at the Salthill Hotel.

Happy The Salthill hotel is exceptional and spacious, staff are very friendly and rooms are exquisite. location is ideal for a quiet weekend away and it is right beside the sea.

Lovely hotel in great location Excellent location, spotlessly clean comfortable room with lovely view of the bay. The friendly, helpful staff made the stay very comfortable. Excellent car parking as well.

Ocean view Perfect location for those wishing to be out of the bustle of inner city Galway, love the ocean views and Prom walk.
