Covid 19 – Health and Safety Policy


Salthill Hotel remains open for Essential Travel during Level 5 restrictions. 


We understand that that there is a lot of anxiety pertaining to the new normal and we expect that you our guests will have many questions about how we can ensure your safety during your time with us. Rest assured we are taking every precaution to ensure your wellbeing and that of our wonderful team.


We ask that you please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the following health and safety guidelines when booking.


Sanitisation Stations:

There are a number of sanitisation stations set up throughout the hotel for your convenience including at all entrance/exits and various guest touch points.



Regular staff handwashing will be enforced by Department Managers and guests will also be encouraged to also engage in this simple yet effective act.


Queuing Systems:

Mapped queuing system in our spacious lobby to eliminate close contact with other guests.


Guest Information:

 Covid 19 safety guidelines are displayed in all public areas as well as in every bedroom.


Sanitisation Porter: 

A designated sanitisation porter will be on hand to clean and sanitise all public areas throughout the day including doors, lobby tables, front desk, lifts/lift buttons and stairways etc.


Cleaning Products and Protocols: 

Our hotel uses a hospital grade disinfectant to clean guestrooms which ensures that all areas are fully disinfected and virus free. Each bedroom will be deep cleaned and sanitised to the highest standards after every stay.


Covid 19 Committee: 

We have established of a Covid 19 monitoring committee to ensure hygiene standards are exacting at all times.


Contactless Payment: 

Contactless payment encouraged throughout your stay.


 Safety Equipment: 

PPE equipment is available to all staff and to guests on request.


Covid 19 Training: 

Thorough Covid 19 training will be carried out with all staff members prior to reopening.

 We have also introduced new and improved operating manuals specific to each department.


Social Distancing: 

Our bar and restaurants have been reset to ensure social distancing and we now require you to book your breakfast time in advance to manage the flow of guests at any one time. We are also advising guests to pre-book your dinner times prior to arrival at the hotel.


Outdoor Space: 

Spacious outdoor terrace for those warmer days to allow for plenty fresh air and social distancing at your convenience.


Car Park:

Spacious on site car parking allowing convenient parking and direct access to the hotel lobby.
